Mircea GoianMIRCEA GOIAN - cello

Founding member of the Canon band, Mircea Goian had a vast activity with this band: concerts in several towns in Romania and also in France (Pierrfeu du Var); participation in the Flacăra Art Shows (1981-1982); recording in 1992 the "Canon" LP at "Electrecord". In 1995, he recorded at Alpha Sound - Bucharest the CD "CANON and MARIA GHEORGHIU". Mircea Goian was the initiator and organizer of several festivals: "Hunedoara Musical Autumn" for 27 years uninterruptedly; "S.O.S. Castle" for 3 years, "Metal Urgia" (1995) and "East West Heaven Festival" (1998). Organizer of the folk galas "Om Bun" (1995) at the Corvin Castle and "The Classic Guitar Days" in Hunedoara with Nicolae Szekely (1990-1996). He is one of the founding members of "Dan Mândrilă" jazz club and also played in Jazz Trio "Confluenze".He is an initiator of the "Diesel" rock band and also had numerous recordings in radio and TV studios.

Galambos-Mihaela-HortenziaMIHAELA HORTENZIA GALAMBOS - soprano, alt blockflöte, voice

She graduated the "Gh. Dima" Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca, the Faculty of Musical Interpretation, specialized in flute. Between 1982 and 2003, she was a teacher at the Music School and Fine Arts in Hunedoara, and in 1994 she collaborated with the Canon band.

Purcariu-Nistor NISTOR PURCARIU - percussion (bolla, tubular bells, tambourine, tom-tom, wood block)

Having 35 years of experience as a drummer, percussionist and vibraphonist in pop, jazz, classic and mediaeval music, Nistor Purcariu performed in clubs and jazz festivals in Romania and also abroad: Italy (Perugia, Siena) and France (Toulon, Port du Pantin). He made recordings in radio and TV studios with jazz bands from Sibiu (Vocal Jazz Quartet, Reflex) and made a CD with the Canon band. He is one of the founding members of "Dan Mândrilă" jazz club.

Szekely-NicolaeNICOLAE SZEKELY - classical guitar

A self teaching artist, Nicolae Szekely started studying classic guitar in 1980. He took part in several student festivals and in 1987 he was awarded the 1st place at the National Festival of Classic Guitar from Sinaia (members of the jury being, among others, Dumitru Capoianu and Liviu Georgescu). The same year he had a recital in the Studio Hall of the Romanian Atheneum. This was just the beginning of a series of recitals given within "Hunedoara Musical Autumn" and "The Classic Guitar Days". Together with Mircea Goian, he was also the organizer of these festivals. Some famous artists, such as Trio Andrei, Constantin Andrei, Cornel Voicescu, Vasile Colțea, etc., participated at these events. He also participated in the festival "Cicelle" in Hungary (Szombathely).

Takacs-ArankaARANKA TAKÁCS - oboe, soprano, alto blockflöte, vocal

Graduated the "Sigismund Toduţă" Music High School in Cluj-Napoca and the "Gh. Dima" Music Academ, Faculty of Musical Interpretation in the same city. In 2000 in Sighisoara, she participated at the mastery course delivered by Heinz Elhorst from Switzerland. Aranka Takács took part in several concerts and contests with the orchestra of her High School and Faculty. She held solo recitals and also chamber music performances with the band "Trio de Ancii" in several towns of Romania. As an oboe player, she collaborated with the orchestra of the Hungarian Opera of Cluj Napoca.

Constantin-ZgambauCONSTANTIN ZGÂMBĂU -

graduated the National Art University in Bucharest and he was guided by the master prof. dr. Mircia Dumitrescu.
